The whole commute from the lake into Fargo yesterday was quite amazing. The trees were coated with some of the thickest hoarfrost I have ever seen.

This photo of the Red River Valley plains and the Fargo-Moorhead skyline was taken just before sunset (8:47 PM). The photograph is from 27 miles away from Fargo on a hill in western Clay County! It was taken with a Canon 50D camera at a factored focal length of 640 mm. It is a single exposure.
