Lake Dillon in Colorado High Country is still covered in ice. Enough of winter! You can see some of the slopes from Keystone (now closed for the season) off to the left.
Our boat leaves Dominica as clouds billow above Roseau and drop their moisture on the island’s rainforests.
On a Sunday at Keystone it was one of those perfect moments. I started the ski run at the top, deep in the midst of the thick overhead clouds. Visibility was 50’! About a third of the way down I emerged below the cloud deck to find myself alone on the long downhill run. There wasn’t a soul in sight above or below me. It was like I had my own private ski resort — if only for a short while.

A break in the clouds allowed the setting sun to illuminate the city while dark snow clouds loomed above. Despite the stormy appearance, the city received only a light dusting of the white stuff. The rest of the week looks sunny with temps in the 50s.
